Did you know…Chewing gum after meals (especially dinner as we may be going to bed soon) helps digestion.
Chewing gum ‘between’ meals is bad!
- The chewing action causes acid and digestive enzymes to be released from the stomach, ready to receive food from the mouth, but there is no food!
- When it is dinner there is a reduced amount of stomach acid.
- Best to chew gum for 30 minutes after food.
